Reviving the Computer

I started reviving the computer today, which so far has been a horrible process. When I got home, I didn't even bother to turn the computer on instead I watched TV. After a while, I figure that I better get the computer working again before I get a major project like what most of the time will happen. So, I turned it on and it took 10 minutes just to get to the login screen. I logged in and just went to watch another episode of a TV show because it was taking so long. After the show was over, I came back and it was still starting up. Bringing up the spyware scanner was even worse. So without thinking, I turned it off and thought about just restoring the computer back since I had everything backed up, so that's what I did. After I got that done and after I got everything that was needed on there it was 8:25pm. I, then, put all the stuff I had on there before excluding what made the problem. I tried moving my files, but some of them were missing. I tried looking everywhere, but could not find them anywhere. It looked as if I had lost half of my files, and these were not just some crap, these were school stuff. So I didn't get everything back on that I wanted for today.
