So far the only issue I had when installing Windows 7 Professional was the download which said I reached the limit even though I only clicked the link once. After that was resolved, I could download Windows 7. I have 3 partitions on my computer. One for Vista, one for XP (in case Vista doesn't start up), and one for all my data. I booted into XP and replaced Vista with Windows 7. First, I formatted the drive with Vista (I wanted to do a clean install) and Windows 7 installed onto my computer without any problems (surprising!). Now I'm currently in the process of installing all my programs and we will see how it goes from there. I'll post back after testing programs on the new OS.

It's been 2 days since I've installed Windows 7 and so far I can't find anything wrong with it. I'm amazed how well this O/S works. This version of Windows is as fast as XP, especially when shutting down or restarting. The instant I click the button to restart or shut down, it shuts down right then and there, no more waiting 2 minutes for it to end all of it's processes.

I've installed programs that are suppose to run on XP and haven't been updated and they work the way they should even without having to run them in XP mode. I've yet to find a program that doesn't work on this O/S, but I haven't installed everything yet, so we shall see.

My games that run in full-screen alt-tab way faster than in Vista even when WindowBlinds is running. In Vista, if I alt-tabbed out of game, I would have to wait for everything to load, but that is not the case in Windows 7.

Folder viewing has improved. If I were to open a folder with over 1000 pictures, Vista would attempt to load all of them at the same time, then it would lock up explorer and I would be lucky if it didn't crash. In Windows 7, the pictures load one at a time (they are cached to save time too) and it doesn't lock up explorer or make the computer appear any slower.

I have been really impressed with this O/S. I thought it would be as bad or even worse than Vista, but so far everything is working the way it should.

Some more notes for certain people: The UAC doesn't prompt you as much even if there is an icon that indicates it will (at least at the default setting). It's not a big deal to me because I disable all dialogs from UAC from the beginning, something that I wouldn't recommend to do to the normal computer user.

Well for WoW, you will need at least 2GB or more.
